OK, so I'm in the process of creating a blog, with some other CMS than WordPress. Starting off in fresh territory, with something new, and what I'm not used to. But anyways, I'll get to my question.

I have this really good idea about a site, one of those "web 2.0" ideas; user friendly, active, etc. I am wondering if I should talk about the idea on my blog, and how the project is going, and how I want it to go, etc etc. Or would that spoil it for the reader/guest, and or someone "stealing" my idea type thing. I mean, I'm sure there is something like my site out there, which is basically a sharing community, where you share your emotions, and words that fit what your feeling.

What I'm asking is here, is should I talk about what I'm in the process of building, and what I hope will be successful?

It's really up to you. There are pros and cons either way. The downside of talking about your ideas is that as you say someone might steal your idea and that you may end up talking more about your ideas than working on them. The latter is fixed easily enough by working on your ideas.

With the former the same people who might steal your ideas because you're talking about them could just as easily do the same a few moments after your site is live. If you can get this site built in a couple months so can they. Besides ideas themselves aren't worth all that much. It's their implementation that has value.

The major pro is that you'd be able to get feedback all throughout your development process. Your readers could make valuable suggestions or point out flaws you may have missed. No matter what they tell you there's a good chance you'll learn something and end up developing a better site. That kind of feedback is invaluable.

Yes, you can! But the main probem is that the ideas that you will publishing over your website will or will not be entertained by visitors. So you need to be very much specific over your ideas and these should be authentic and should not hurt anyone in any way..
