Basically I am planning upon changing my website to a more professional design.

The problem is... I am no web designer so I would value the opinions of forum members if possible.


So simple question,

Should I change my website from its current:

to

I would suggest to change. The second looks cleaner. Recommend to work on the side menu a little and work with your content text. Punch it up a bit. Establish a strong visual hierarchy. Start with nice header image that can establish a strong focal point.

I like the first one better.

Change is always good. I suggest trying other options though.

To the last poster.... what other options would you suggest? Sorry, but I really am a newbie to all of this.

I personally like the first choice, the second one looks like it is missing something without a banner or logo on top. Almost like it is unfinished.

I like the default design more. It's true that your new design looks 'cleaner' and better for eyes but your current gives customers better overview of what they are currently viewing.

They are both good though. Simple and clean.

I think you should change, because the second design looks more professional and certainly will increase your sales .

Okay I'll input a little more because I can sense your looking for a bit more of a detailed answer. Version one seems to be more complete and version two does seem to be cleaner but missing something. So here is my opinion on things. Really there isn't a big enough difference between the two designs. I mean obviously a few things are moved around, but there is almost no change in color and no change in overall layout.

So with all that said, I would say to scrap version two and start over on something a little more vibrant and with some more color. Definitely keep a header involved.

Second one feels incomplete, and the first one feels a bit dated, but more trustworthy.

Tbh i dont like either.

and the 2nd looks too empty

maybe try a 3rd?

all major websites keep on revamping their website design from time to time so to make it more and more user friendly
