Hello,
I recently bought an e-commerce template and used it to set up the basic layout and flow of a working site. However, I have zero graphics design ability need help with a banner/logo and a color scheme. I was thinking of creating two contests to accomplish this but I have a few questions and would welcome any advice.
First of all, I would like to set up a contest for a banner/logo. I have a few ideas of concepts but have no idea on how they will display so I like the idea of getting multiple choices.
Second, based on the banner/logo I chose I would like to get a mock up of my page with a new color scheme and fonts. Either by working with the winner of the banner contest or creating a new contest.
A few questions...
1. When should someone choose a banner over a logo for a website or are they so similar it's just semantics? (My site is sandlotcards.com)
2. Does the above sound like a logical approach? Hopefully by delivering payment on the banner I can be trusted to pay on a second project/contest.
3. Will $75 get a good response for a banner contest?
4. What is a reasonable payment for the second request? Again I'm mainly looking for a nice color scheme and fonts (I'm using css/asp).
5. Anything else I should consider?
