Dreamweaver Tables Messed Up In IE But Not Firefox?

I'm re-designing a website, and started from scratch. I made a bit of a layout in Photoshop, sliced it up and saved it as HTML before opening it up in Dreamweaver so I could edit it more easily.

For some reason it looks fine in Firefox, but in Internet Explorer there are gaps in the tables (above the navigation bar, and above the ad banner) http://nsmithcouk.pwp.blueyonder.co....in-layout.html

Any idea why? My mind is boggled.

Hi.

Somewhat confused, as viewing in both browsers, there is no significant difference between the two! Could it be something to do with your own browser settings? Try viewing the site on a different macjine and see what you find.

Best wishes.

When I go to your site and take a look, I see NO spaces above the nav bar or the banner. All looks clean and unlike what you describe.

Perhaps you have a previous version cached or there is something in your settings, as mentioned previously. I concur that Firfox and IE should not display tables any differently.

When I create site mockups in Photoshop or Fireworks, I do not like to ultilize the "save as HTML" features and prefer to hand slice and build a DW template. It doesn't add as much junk and of course, the less images and whatnot, the better the download time.
