I leave a website which is full of ads and flashing lite. Simple designed site with a nice classic template and rich contents are must for my longer stay in the site. I never like back ground music while opening a site.

Bad navigation, bad traffic, annoying adds

So many things can matter that are mainly responsible for the reason. A visitor always wants to get such a thing for that he/she has come to your website. So first of all you need to make your site content and theme very good with properly using good keywords for that visitors can get your site in search engines, and while coming to your site they will think yes this is the site we are looking for. Then concentrate on your design, color, background etc. for first impression that is also very important. Navigation should be very good. Don't make a site such way that a visitor should click so many links to reach a page he is searching for. Loading time should be perfect. Naturally if a page takes much time in loading a visitor can be impatient and leave your site. SEO of your site should also be very good. You need to keep in mind that the site should be search engine friendly and user friendly as well.

For me front end of design should be very appealing

Websites having Poor colour combination, Duplicate Content, more pop-ups, Redirects
and most imp. thing is that, having data which detract it from the theme of the website..

I think these are the some common reasons for which visitor leave a website.

Hey, nice advice you gave. I must also agree that no one likes pop-ups =P And nowadays, there are so many flash banners, sometimes they even have music on.. When I was on one website to watch a movie, they had so many flash banners with sound, it was alright, I switched the sound off, but suddenly when I was half way through the film, these banners reset their sound and started playing the music again. This was so annoying that I never came back on their website.

Additionally, I would like to ask you guys, if you can visit my website which is in my signature. I would like to receive your advice, especially because it was done fully in flash.. But I still love design, I don't want to change it really, but would appreciate your advice. Thanks!

- lack of graphics
- absense of facts that are important to them
- complicated navigation menu

A lot of good points here ... slow pages, poor navegation, poor content, i guess it is all of this ...

My experience on that : i have a blog about games (Dota) and i my content is "ways to play with the characters" ... but i had a problem ... the peaple was looking for it was in game at the moment ... so they need fast informartion ...

So i put it ... and my avarage time on site up a lot ... (was 0:05 ... to 0:30)

So in this case my content isn't poor, or even the page was slowly .. just need a diferent format ...

Actually quality link,nice pictures,good English which everyone can able to understand,animated images but not to many,flash all that create a good sense because of which the visitors are not bored.

Visitors have to find what they want. FIND being the important word. Most visitors are pretty impatient so if the site does contain what they want but they have to navigate around the site to find it then they won't bother and they'll go somewhere else. Of course every site will have a certain percentage of visitors whose needs it doesn't suit.

Well, I think there are many reasons behind it, such as the content that displayed on the website is not that eyecatching, the style of the website does not match with its content

I think Image Loading should me easily & fast, otherwise this will not make sense to visitir to be on there.
