I've ust completed my first Wordpress site and have found it to be OK - not as intuitive as Expression, but way more so than Joomla and certainly learnable. It seems good at allowing you to organise posts/pages.

Wordpress has more convenient navigation than Joomla and wider facilities. For instatnce, the visitors of your site are able to change templates.

I would also recommend you to use WordPress. Wordpress begins with a basic platform with user friendly interface. You can see how easy it is to use a direct installation. It is easy for bloggers to use as the CMS is designed to types of people. Beginners can start as soon as the default layout with Wordpress and add content to the blog.

Wordpress is a great CMS to use. As many have pointed out, there are plenty of free templates out there to use. Joomla is good too, but not quite as easy to configure as Wordpress.

For easy and fast work for Designing You can use Joomla Content Management System.Joomla is free open source and available to anyone under the open source. There are many website templates available for you to upload to your Joomla backend. This means you don't have to mess around with html or dream weaver to design your site.

I tried Joomla, Drupal and DotNetNuke. In reality, not DNN. I found a lot of Joomla intuitive to use than Drupal, but have not used extensively. I am trying to make the same decision like you.
