Hi everyone. I'm new here. Glad I found this site.
Ok, I have a client who would like to do a live cooking "show" on her website (1 of many of her ideas). Anyway, she started telling other people about the idea first before telling me. Someone talked her into buying a video phone called the IRIS V 5000 (You can google it to see what it looks like) and that is what she planned on using for her live internet show. I tried looking up the specs for the video phone but I couldn't find much info. The only thing I can see from the diagram is that is also has the A/V jacks in the back. I don't see anything that can be used to plug it into a standard computer to feed to her website without buying additional things. Plus I'm pretty sure the quality of the video isn't that good being that it's a telephone video phone.
Anyway, I'm going to suggest that she buy a $60 logitech HD Webcam. I assume that this would do what she needs. Does anyone have any experience in doing live internet shows with a webcam to know if this is good or if I should be looking at something else? Live internet video shows is not something that I have ever done before so any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
