I'm creating a website and it's been awhile since I used the program Dreamweaver CS3. But I'm trying to figure it out as I go along. I am stuck on something that seems rather simple. I have a table layout and content added. But there is this gray background on the right and left side of the page. If I go to page properties and change the color, it will change to the color I select. But if in that same edit box I add a background image. It never shows up. Ive tried it several different ways. I even tried manually adding a code to the body. Nothing works. What am I doing wrong? It's giving me a headache

It may just be a quirk in DW, Does it show ok in a browser?

I don't think I set any z-indexes. Its not showing up when I test it either. Am I doing this right? What exactly do i need to do? When I highlight the words in the bottom bar to edit properties none of that controls the outer area either. When i edit the page properties bg color the color will change in that area but i want an image there I have tried using the url and browse feature and still nothing. I have other images on my site. Its just this outer area. I really need a solution.

Silly me i tried it with another image and it worked. Hmmm.
