I have just been restoring a backup of my web site, (the server crashed)

But none of my images seem to work, none what so ever,

I have checked the path, its correct /images they are stored under,

They work fine on my comp and they worked on the server before it crashed,

I have tried deleting the images folder and re-uploadin them but no joy,

Any other things i couold try??

wormix,

You have not uploaded your images to the correct dir.
Look here: http://www.gretnafootballclub.com/images/

There is only one image there. "index1.gif" Yet you are calling for more images i.e. "images/newspaper.gif" etc...

yes, that is my new folder, the old one containing all the images is here

www.gretnafootballclub.com/imageaas

i made that one as a test,(.........com/images) but the image 'index1.gif' did not load so i never uploaded the rest of them, since i realised that the folder must not of been the problem.

I canot see what is wrong to be honest, Its stumped me,

Hey Wormix,

Please check the permission (CHMOD) on your images. They should be atleast set to 444. (read permission)
I tried to access them and got a "403 Forbidden" message. Which tell me I dont have premission to view them.

Give that a try and message back,

just tried something,

i have only added Gretnafootballclub.com today as my primary domain, before it was www.cairndesign.co.uk( i now still have this as a parked domain, When i go to this url, www.cairndesign.co.uk - The images load, ????

is it just a server problem, or a mix up with domain names/hosting, ??

Hey Wormix,

Nothing else comes to mind.
If you wanted to give me access to your sever I would take a look for you, to see if I can spot anything. However I do understand if you dont want to. I am good for it though.

Let me know james@jambla.com

check to see if your images are RGB Color or CMYK Color. They will ony work on the web as RGB Color. I had this problem before..

Now I read the post....you can also try a program called ACDSEE. install that and go into your images directory, select all, right click and select convert images. convert them to the same extention they have now and just overwrite them...that might work
