Need help....could someone show me the way to optimize bulky graphics etc. Actually I want to increase the downloading speed of my site which has big size photos. I want to keep the images but at the same time want to cut the downloading time too. Please help.
Photoshop, ImageReady, or fireworks. They provide a preview window as you adjust the compression settings so you can judge the quality. Go as low as you can while maintaining desired quality.
This was vital old days with dial up!! Video was a nightmare ....

File>Save for web & devices.
You can select image type as well quality and it does good job in optimization and keep image quality.

Unimportant photos to GIF, PNG extension that will take only small size. Avoid Flash and use Scripts that helps to downloading quickly.
