Please can anyone help a newbie with basic HTML and CSS knowledge?! I've scoured the web and for some reason I can't find my answer;

I've designed a very simple CSS website and I'm really happy with it, but I'm stuck at the part where I create my photo gallery (its for people to purchase fine art photography prints);

It needs to be simple, and easy to integrate into the content wrapper div on my html page so it fits in with my website, and it needs to be easily updated as i constantly change the images on my website, and when you click on the image it needs to somehow display text like a description and my paypal buttons (not just an enlarged version of the thumbnail basically) I'd like it to be CSS mainly but I've heard php mentioned a lot and wondered if thats where I needed to go?

Please can someone shed some light? I'm losing my patience!!!!
