Hi Guys,

My server's currently get ~500k hits per 3 months..

I have an ever growing list of banned users ( from my system )
Is it worth making a small RSS / Page that lists said IP's and "reasons" ?

I mean while it makes zero difference to me, It may help other "include" our list into their sites and block said spammers / asshats ?

Just a thought.. Is it professional to "name and shame" or should I / My company keep said list to ourselves?

If you "publish and be damned" I'm sure you'll find a great deal of "similarity" with other lists of banned IPs

Cheers man, I might just feed the IP's into that Database via its API.

Saves me having to "publish" them, But they still get used if need be.

sounds good to me, would be a great scare tactic to show all of the banned ip addresses

"scare tactic"?

How so?

the ones who are banned won't see it

And IPs are anonymous so nobody knows who the guilty parties are.

Certainly wont be a scare tactic.

People who use the system may never even see my main website or the list of banned IP's

It was more aimed at the fact that I have a "naughty list" and would it be worth handing it out to the larger community rather than just sitting on the data.
