i usually look at other sites for about 10min. and i get the best features from all of them and add them to mine.

It’s amazing how you can accumulate so many great designs at once. I have a list of my own.It's much better to me anyways. This way I don't have to stress myself when I need to design something.

Not really understanding your post. can you explain why this inspires you?

I think it is important to decipher the main goal of your website and what you want to achieve. Through this you can build and develop a consistent theme that is relevant to your goal. Getting creative and furthering your skills as a designer is also paramount as to give your site an edge that other similar products may lack.

have a look at other's similar website, than I can get inspiring on the design of my own website.

I find that a few drinks can aid in my creative ability.......

I look around different templates and different websites that I like. Then combine some elements and make it in a PSD then handcode that to Dreamweaver

Nobody cares about design. This does not help to get traffic.

Really? Nobody cares about design? Then why are you responding to the question? Actually anyone who has a brain cares about design. You will never get or retain "traffic" to your site if its ugly, non-functional or designed to your personal taste and not the targeted users who will do the buying.

In fact, if the targeted users go to a site that has no design or no thought was put into the design, than you can be sure that not only will they tell others in the future not to go there but it will probably not generate any sales of your product or services.

And more importantly if a designer doesn't care about how a site should be designed than he or she will probably not get hired by those who need one.

Inspiration should come form your site coding content and well designed header.

For inspiration, I would just start designing and drawing out a sketch on Photoshop using the knowledge you know already. From there, you can take a look at examples but don't copy.

I agree, I usaully like meeting the client as well first to get the ideas flowing. Also music, coffee and the overall challenmge inspire me as well.

No you've got it backwards. Inspiration first, design, then content and finally coding. No other way around this. Inspiration does not come from "site coding content and a well designed header" because without inspiration there will be no well designed header or content. Coding is always last
