Hi! I'm a novice and designing my first webpage. I'm hosting with GoDaddy and can't seem to get a function to work. I have uploaded a .pdf file and would like for it to prompt a user to download the .pdf file when landing on the page specified; ie: "website.com/downloads/champion.pdf"

and being able to download the file champion.pdf when landing on that page. Any suggestions? Thank you!

may possibly require javascript, and most modern browsers prefer to just have the pdf viewed inside the browser rather than download.

forcing the browser to automatically download when they visit is likely to put your website on an "unsafe website||" list too. Because what other websites would like to force you to download software when you land on a page?

You shouldnt force a file to download unless someone wants to download it. I wouldnt want to go to a website that would automatically download file to my computer.
