Hello people,

hope your all ok....

Heres the thing....

I have recently added a few web templates to my site which users can purchase.

The thing is, what kind of shopping cart would you suggest?

I have looked at Paypal which I have an account with, the problem is, I want my users to be able to access the templates instantly! Not have to wait for me to return from work, or get up in the morning, before I can E-Mail them secure link to the files...

I want a shopping cart that is CHEAP preferably, makes buying EASY, and once transaction is complete, the users recieves an E-Mail containing a secure download link and 'Thankyou'.

Does that make sense?

I have looked at the 'Zen Cart' but its a bit too SHOP heavy for what i need...

Advice would be appreciated!

A simple Buy--->Thankyou---->Heres The Link sort of shopping cart!

Have you look at 2checkout.com Though I have never used them they seem to do well in the area of instant downloads.

Paypal has this ability. When making a button click on the add more options (or something to that effect at the bottom of page 1) button and you can specify a link that users will be able to download from.

However, I would create a quick and dirty script that lists all my download files and call them up like this...

http://www.mydomain.com/dl/get.php?download=1

Where one will do a header redirect to the file directly. This way the people won't neccesarily be able to find your directory of downloads and get everything for free. As well, I probably wouldn't let them be redirected to the downloads unless their referer was paypal. This way you know they payed first.

I like the sound of the Paypal option, but Paypal can only re-direct to ONE specific page, reguardless of what the item is.

How would it know what download to pull up?

In Paypal, you have the option of re-directing to a general 'Thankyou...Payment recieved' screen on your own website instead of the default PayPal one.

I agree about the referer part, wouldn't want people using a search engine and finding there way into the downloads area.

What code would you use to ensure only PAYPAL refer was accepted?

Thanks again guys...
