I wasn't sure where to post this, I haven't been here since it was webmaster talk.
Anyway I have been playing around with various galleries the last couple of days (all free) and I can't seem to find anything that I like much or has a good featureset.
Gallery3 is the closest and I've been playing with that, but I'm wondering if people here have experience with other galleries.
So far I've tried
Coppermine
TinyWebGallery (Always get an error after install, wont work)
4images (I don't like the way it does ftp uploads.)
picpost
piwigo
PHPWebyGallery
and a few others.
Does anyone know of anything that will work like photo bucket with the way it shows the embed links, allow ftp upload/import of folders AND files into albums and sub-albums (maybe even allow categories separately from albums) and is just generally really configurable.
I'm not really looking to host other peoples photos, I just want a place to host my own photos, and let the world view and comment on them.
