As you know, there are many "things" implemented into a web page that ticks us off.
So, let's all hear your opinions on the most annoying/irritating things that someone can add to their web page.

I hate ecommerce or any kind of service signup site that have strict requirements for passwords (upper-case, lower-case, number, symbol, 8 or more chars) that forces you to create and remember a new password.

Content takes over the welcome page, and you click for information on a subject and it takes multiple pages to get there.

Landing on an article page from a se search and getting the big ad that covers most of all the content with a floating ad or signup request or welcome sign that requires you to find a "no thanks" close link to make it disappear. Also a site where clicking on the body will attempt to open a popup ad.

I hate (in this order)
1. popup ads,
2. annoying sounds/music/noise,
3. flash intros
4. splash pages click here to enter
5. useless, insufficient, irrelevant content

I have to say that one drives me crazy as well. I think there are a lot of misconceptions about what makes a password secure. If you're doing your job correctly, a simple password isn't any more practical to break than a complicated one.
If you force users to use ridiculous passwords you're just increasingly the likelihood that they'll write it down on a post-it note and leave it at their desk. Sure a more complicated password makes it less likely that someone will just guess the password, but once you start trying to take responsibility for how users secure their own passwords you're fighting a losing battle.

Pop up windows, slow loading of pages, link that are not working and requirements of registration irritates me.Too much clutter with sound and flash images certainly puts me off.

I hate it when the ARTICLE is paginated but not the COMMENTS.
Oh, I also hate it when you search for something on Google, and you click a promising link, and it's just a link directory (most likely Ask)
And websites that say 'You've been here before, please sign up to go any further!', which is useless, because I'll stop coming to your site

Flash videos in the header that you cannot turn off and start again on every @*£%ing page.
Thanks but I've heard your crappy "Honest John" sales pitch already!
Somebody else's choice of "music" that you cannot mute or stop. If I want to hear "Drum and Bass, (with the emphasis on the last three letters) I'd go clubbin'
Bloody annoying "Would you like to chat with a sales representitive" popups. No thanks 'cos I'm just leaving.
stupid "Page turn" navigation! I KNOW I'm not reading a book, why the hell do you want make it look like I am????????
and finally
Javascript animation that is simply there because you can!!!!!!!!

Blog posts that don't show the date it was posted, so it's impossible to figure out how up to date the information is.

I hate, more than ANYTHING, generic layouts, like the ones used on this forum! This kind of page, to me, is the absolute arsepit of the internet. And look at the 2000 posts of people asking "am I the SEO god or should I worship off-page optimization deities?" - no, on the whole I'd say the most annoying implementation of technology to date is pretty much the whole internet.

The music with no option to stop it is definitely a huge pet peeve of mine. I also dislike when ads cover more of the page than the content.
Floating ads are the worst too because you can't close them easily.

Ads with noise.
The past few months i've noticed a huge increase in these sort of ads.
Of course, most people already listed what annoys me the most. Live-Chat popups or any built in popup that requires me to look for that 'X'.
