We are about to submit a request for proposal for a web application design project. We want to make sure we provide enough information and detail so that interested designers have exactly what they need to quote confidently and minimize misunderstandings and revisions. We have wire-framed the application, have a good sense of the required functionality and application framework. What are the elements of the site description needed to quote effectively?

You want the budget, the design vision, and the overall layout the client wants. As a designer, you should be able to make something creative within those constraints. Of course a deadline would be helpful too.

As a designer - I always find myself asking the following:

1. Your target audience?
2. Competitors and examples of competitor styles you like
3. Budget
4. Summary of your short and long term ambition
5. Wireframe / Detailed Specification

With this information I am able to produce a quotation.

Designer should know Photoshop ,illustrator an should read daily blog which related to logo design.
