Sorry for being unclear English not my first language and understanding this dreamweaver beyond me.
I ahave it split into 3 frames. The second frame has a scroll bar to scroll with but it is scrolling into nothing as page is finished well before bottom of scroll bar. This is where i want it to stop, How can I do this?

sounds like you have some empty space coded into the middle frame like
<p>&nbsp;</p>

post a url (address) and we can tell for sure

Thanks for trying to help
http://www.lascarpetta.co.uk/trial.htm
know it looks terrible but just working on it as original pages at www.lascarpetta.co.uk, too slow and making new home page as intro so people can stay or go if they want but seeing most on index page will let them decide rather and wait.
This centre piece only, obviously. Dont laugh know needs improving, and am enjoying messing about., this way instead of using html the way nI done the main one.

try getting rid of all this

(this starts at line 99)
HTML Code:
    <TR>
    <TD height=249>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD></TD>

    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD></TR>
(this ends in line 108 but do not remove all of line 108)

actually you have a lot of empty cells in your table you may want to get rid of more than just that. Its almost at the point where I would redo the table and all the cell layout. In other words start over again and try to get a cleaner table layout.

you could also try getting rid of all this instead of the stated code above

(this starts at line 69)
HTML Code:
<TR>

    <TD height=249>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD></TD>

    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD></TD></TR>
  <TR>

    <TD vAlign=top height=52><FONT
      face="Courier New, Courier, mono">&nbsp;</FONT></TD>
    <TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD></TD></TR>
  <TR>
    <TD height=19></TD>
    <TD></TD>
    <TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD vAlign=top colSpan=3 rowSpan=2>&nbsp;</TD></TR>

  <TR>
    <TD height=4></TD>
    <TD></TD>
    <TD></TD>
    <TD></TD>
    <TD></TD></TR>
  <TR>
    <TD height=249>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>

    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
    <TD>&nbsp;</TD>
(this ends in line 108 but do not remove all of line 108)

The only difference is one removes more empty cells then the other.

Hello all, I have some temporary content that I'm trying to display on my site. I'm using a single layer on top of a page, but I can't keep the layer from floating when viewed in different screen resolution. my site can be viewed pretty much from 800 x 600 all the way to 1280 x 1024. it's just that one layer that wont stay put.

does anyone know how I could fix that?

Thanks
