Over time I have heard that Dreamweaver is one of the hardest site builders too master , & so I would prefer to use something that is easier but still has the ability to be flexible & reasonably artistic.

I have heard that Frontpage is good but may not still be supported/updated ? are there any other free ones that have the “Microsoft word” interface out there as It has been suggested to me to try & not use the site builders that come with most hosting packages (e.d weebly or rv sitebuilder) .

If possible I would like to have the ability to use it from any computer , that would mean some kind of online site builder (I would guess).

Thanks in advance to all who respond & see you on the forum next year Craig

These really aren't "site-builders". A site builder is something along the lines of Trendy Flash, RV Sitebuilder, Soholauncher etc.

Some of my clients use Wordpress, Drupal, Trendy Flash & Templates Express. You could also use some pre-built templates and edit them to fit your needs.

Frontpage - don't use it. It's ancient.

Dreamweaver - should only be used for ease of editing code, such as auto populating your tags. That's it.

The one good thing about finding a host that offers a site builder, is that you use your own domain. Not something such as: yoursite.webs.com. That is very unprofessional and I don't understand how people do that, especially with a business website. You need a host that provides backups as well, in the event that something happens.

Dreamweaver is probably the best option out there in terms of editing the code and design. The site builders out there like RV are just ridiculously painful to use and have limited functionality.

If you want a fairly simple WYSIWYG editor have a look at PageBreeze

They have a free version which is quite capable and the pro version is only $30
