To price a job we would need to know the scope of the of the work, the complexity of the design/layout, an estimate of the time involved and what your hourly rate is.

There are usually 2 methods to gauge how much to charge.

1. You can charge per hour
2. You can charge a flat rate

Also keep in mind India's currency is not as strong which will mean not everyone can afford the prices of US based designers. You may want to adjust the pricing for them.

Don't charge much at your initial stage of business. Try to attract more clients by delivering good service at low cost.

The salary of a web designer in India is around 9,200 year that is if your planning to hire him not on a per project basis. I suggest you hire a designer per hour because you can have a continuous development on your site.

I think that you should work per hour. Also, if you are good specialist with years of experience and you are confident in your knowledge, you should ask for higher salary. It’s normal situation.
