Might not help either of you, but a very useful site I was recommended to once is: http://www.wotsit.org/
It has information on practically every file format you need.
Information on ASF:
Apparently it is the format used by Electronic Arts in their older games. No details of a codec that I could see, but a huge amount of info on how the data is stored, may be a link in the file somewhere that is of help: http://www.wotsit.org/download.asp?f=ea-asf

I was doing a search for something totally unrelated today and came across the Game Audio Player: http://bim.km.ru/gap/view.asp?id={039D5BBB-8B77-4930-8859-1C48806E663C}
It seems to be exactly what you are looking for. I hope it works for your game!
