Hi!

Could someone please tell me, which fonts I can use that are both compatible with Windows and Apple computers? I was thinking about using a Verdana, Arial, Helvetica. sans-serif font setting for all the text on my website. You know, Dreamweaver has this feature that lets the browser choose from one of those fonts if it doesn't have the one that you use as standard. Arial should be viewed on Apple computers, shouldn't it?

Thanks in advance!

Arial is the Microsoft version of Helvetica - so if you use one of these they will show the same on Mac and Windows computers.

Times New Roman - Microsoft or

Times Roman - Apple

will also appear much the same on both.

I believe these two choices are the safest since they are the definitive sans serif and serif faces.

<style type="text/css">
.sansFont {
font: 12px Verdana, Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
}
.serFont {
font: 12px 'Times New Roman',Times,serif;
}
</style>

Macs use Postscript fonts and PCs use TrueType

Look up the standard fonts for Postscript that are printed with most printer specs.
Look up the standard windows fonts on microsoft.com
