I am wanting to put a list (from Excel) of my DVDs onto a page in FP. However, I am not wanting it as a excel document in the site. I am hoping to have a simple list on the page, that I can update as required. I had thought of copy - paste (yes, I'm new to this!) but I am not getting what I am looking for, had then thought of tables but doesn't seem to work.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you have an Excel spreadsheet containing your data, you should be able to Save As HTML then edit it or copy that into FrontPage.

Still not quite what I am after, not wanting it as a seperate page, just a list on the page involved. However I think I've now got it work

Thanks for the advice anyway.

Kyrnt was suggesting using Excel to save it as a seperate HTML file, then open that file in Frontpage and copy/paste the contents you want into your page. That is probably the easiest way to do what you want as Excel will create the tables necassary to format your data.

Hi, thanks for the additional info, that is the sort of discription I need too (step by step). Tried that too but doesn't do things like the alignment of the cells in excel. It just aligns them in the normal horizontal form. I've managed to get what I think I am after now though.
Still to do the hyperlinks but it works with 1st one.
Appreciate your feedback on the site
HTML Code:

But PLEASE remember its my 1st real effort.

Thanks again to all who gave advise

just a small suggestion rather than list the DVD's couldnt you have the a search facility like

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ the user hits the letter and the dvd's show with that letter or a genre specific search function i personaly find it kinda boring scrolling down a long list of DVD titles

Excellent idea, however, I wouldn't have a clue how to do that. I had thought on a similar idea using bookmarks but wanting it up and running just now. I agree about the LONG scroll though. Any ideas how I go about the letter idea? Genre would be more difficult as I will be updating the site via a excel document.

One way is to put anchors before each new letter starts...

<a name="A"></a>
A Nightmare on Elm Street
American Pie
Ammadeus
Austin Powers - Goldmember

<a name="B"></a>
Black HawkDown
Braveheart
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

<a name="C"></a>
Candyman
Collateral Damage
Cruel Intentions
.....

Then link to them at the top:
<a href="#A">A</a> <a href="#B">B</a> <a href="#C">C</a> ....

OK, since my coding is a JOKE, I ended up doing something I knew how do to (Bookmarks)
Is that giving a similar result? Having looked at the code it produced, it looks similar.
Thanks again for suggesting it.
