best business to be in



what would you say the best internet business website to start would be? Which market do you think will be moving the most in the next 5 years?

It's hard to say, but I think "mobile triple play" which will be launched by Erricson at the 2006 World Cup will be a good bet!

Unless you're big in website design or web hosting already, don't bother starting.

I've found that there are alot of website designers and design companies out there and too few clients to share between them. It's now taking on the role of the American Lawyers, which seemed to be the job to be seen in, until everyone did it and there were 3 lawyers to every family in the US, therefore, 2 in every 3 didn't get a job.

I think the next step in business will be more entertainment orientated. We've mastered email, the internet and word processing, and now we're seeing more and more computers being used as televisions and media centres.

One piece of hardware, the size of a tv with a widescreen Plasma display and built-in TV, DVD, Video, CD Player MP3 and Personal Computer is the way to go, in my opinion.

The best internet business to start within the next five years is probably one that hasn't already been started (or perhaps even conceived yet).

That said, I see a huge market in leveraging the Internet to attract clients for professional services firms. Most professional services firms don't have a clue how to sell (attract clients) from the net. So, contrary to the earlier post, I think it's a great time to be a lawyer, doctor, cpa, whatever... using the net to attract clients.

How about compatability issues? I think everybody here can relate to those. Java doesn't work with firefox, MP3's won't play in this media player, this email account won't read HTML. I'll bet a person could make quite a bit working on those things, especially browser problems.
