What programs do you guys use to make your website(s)?

"There was a time when making a website on notepad was respectful, but now it's nothing more then time consuming, the internet world is changing/ moving fast."

I for one still use notepad, yeah ofcourse it's easier to make a website on (MS Frontpage) but I'm not turning my back on notepad . NotePad is the best, not really a web design program.

Anyways, what do you guys/ girls use?

I always use to use notepad until I discovered PSPad. Its great although does feel slightly outdated...

If I can find the link to the site i'll post it...

I have just installed Dreamweaver aswell so I can get a basic knowledge of it. I was just browsing through some Job Applications.. Seems knowledge of Dreamweaver or Frontpage is essential for a good job...

EDIT: Found the link www.pspad.com feel kinda silly now. How obvious was that...

I used to use Dreamweaver... not I've switched to Notepad. I wouldn't agree with the text you quoted at all.
I love having 100% control over my code...

Yeah Dreamweaver is one of the common softwares used. Because it has great features. But, the choice depends on you, it is better if you use the software that you are more familiar with. Or have someone to train you on some of the softwares.l You can also search the internet for more information.

you have control over your code in DW, too. simply switch to code view, and it's just like notepad, only everything is color coded and formatted for ease of use. I've used note pad and !st Page, (which is like Notepad on some serious steroids), but they can't touch Dreamweaver.

I know but it's chunky and the editor isn't as nice to use as Notepad. Plus it takes ages to load. Notepad is nearly instant.

(Besides... I don't have a licence for it )
