hello i need some help i made a dirctory and placed a .htacess file in it.
in the .htacess files this is all thats there
AuthName "Members Only Area"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /.htpasswd
Require valid-user
I then created the .htpasswd file with 1 user name and pass to get there user name and password i used this http://www.kxs.net/support/htaccess_pw.html
i upload the files to the right places then try to acess this
www.xr-host.com/members/pages.html
i place the user name and password in and it asks me for it 3 times before it give me:
Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.
