Hi

I have to replace a .art image with a jpeg image. So now (in a 300 page website) I have to change the img src to imagetitle.jpeg from imagetitle.art... Is there software to do this or even better can I simply name the .jpeg .art (even though it is a .jpeg or .gif) and expect it to work properly?

But I have replaced the art image with a gif image and named the gif .art and it SEEMS to be working. Is this likely to cause problems in some browsers?

i have no ideea but i'd say you should do it right now that you have the tool to do so ...

the software i told you about is simple ... you select the folder (and subfolders if you want) the mask of the files to search.
than you slecet what to search for and with what to replace it ... takes little time and little resources ...

why not do it better and avoid the risk of there ever being problems?
