Hi..............

I've have a site for about 5 years now. It was created with Front Page and the menus are "out of date". I would like to use Drop Down sub-menus.

I've been told that xara Menu Builder would be a good choice. It's reasonably priced (under $30) and is said to be easy to use with Front Page.

here> http://www.xara.com/products/menumaker/

Does anyone have any experience with it? Would you recommend it?

(more than once I've purchased some software, and only after spending hours on it discover it aint what it's said to be!)

Thanks in advance!

You can try out navstudio for free before you buy it. I've worked with it before and loved it but it was really hard trying to figure out how to put it onto my site... I never did
Thats just one, and the good thing is you can try before you buy so thats always a positive .

I've seen sites that make those types of menus for free. Try doing a search on hotscripts.com

Its easy, just go get some javascript for dropdown menus, then put your own twist on them. For example, take a boring ugly dropdown menu, strip it down just to bare code, then delete the borders and background and insert some cool images in their place. This is what i did when i wanted a drop down menu that looked like a regular menu bar, but when you clicked on a link it pushed the other buttons down and listed the subcategories under it. That may be a little confusing, but trust me, theres NO reason to ever pay for a dropdown menu program when you can find millions of examples on the web and just add your own twist to them.

Try tigra menu system. Its available for free and with a little bit of code editing you can create cool menus. Its available for download at download.com. Here's the link:
http://www.download.com/Tigra-Menu/3...l?tag=lst-0-19
the above one is a light edition in which you need to change a little bit of text yourself.

The one below must be a full featured tigra menu maker. I haven't yet tried it out, though.

Both are FREE.
