I used to have a co-worker that could pull nearly all files from a website and drop them on his hard drive, I believe it was GET something... I am switching hosts for my sister's website because this guy went under and I can't get access to the files. It's all basic HTML, no programming, i just don't want to go thru all the pages and manually get this site.

any ideas?

thanks!

From a linux command shell you can use the following command to download a website while keeping the files and directory structure intact

wget -r yoursite.com

If you ask your new host, I would imagine they would do this for you if you can't get to the shell.

i usually use the Getright (windows). The registered version lets you point it at the index page and it asks you if you want to follow links. Select yes and it downloads the whole site exactly as it is on server.

Teleport for Windows might also be used.
