I Have a website that's currently hosted and is online. But I haven't finish all the details of the website. Since the website isn't finish yet, I want to prevent people from accessing the website until is done. How can I do this at at the same time have the site online so I can finish the details? Someone told me to put a "site under construction html" but if i do that Would I still be able to see the website homepage and keep working on the site? i hope what i'm saying makes.

What if you rename your current index.xxx-file to project.xxx (or something like that), and then uploads a new index.xxx-file with the UNDER CONSTRUCTION text in it?

You can still reach your project in http://www.domain.com/project.htm
And your guests will see the UNDER CONSTRUCTION-page (which is the index.xxx-file)

That would do it!
