what you mean its not working??

do you get any error messages??

if so what?

have you created a site in dreamweaver?
to use the upload feature in dreamweaver, you need to create a site in dreamweaver inside which all your files should be and u must specify the ftp details to the server and it should connect properly

unless your server is not dreamweaver compatible.

more info would be nice.

Many people do upload their website using Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Why ??

Using is much more convenient, and we can control everything.

Just simply log in and upload to public_html folder.

Because it's convenient and can make site management simpler.

Assuming you know what [blank] is and your site is hosted on Apache with public_html set up as a symlink

what service?

u mean uploading to the public_html??

thats ur ftp folder.. normally all apache server hosts give u that and thats where you upload ur files via ftp.

its free.. same thing u do while uploading with dreamweaver.instead u drag and drop the files and its much easier and painless.

apache is a free server (reliable too) upon which most webservers/websites are hosted.

like how you use winxp or win2000 for your pc.. the webhosts use apache on their machines to run these websites.
