Hi all,

I m new to dreamweaver, i have a simple webpage that I have designed using frames. I have a top frame for banners, left frame for hyperlinks and then the middle frame/main frame. This work fine when I click on any of the link in the left menu it display the contents in the middle.

I have been reading some articles that using frames are not so good when it comes to search engines.

I had wanted to replace the frames using layers so that the page looks exactly as if it was frame, but I have no idea how to do this.

Could anyone give me a quick guide with sample codes?

Many thanks in advance

Regards

Goodman

i have heard that tables are better.

start a new page and click on table and set it as 1row and 2colums and then move expand the table to the page size you want and move a column over to the left hand side to use it as the nav bar and then you can insert other tables in the main page area
