Hello,

Awhile back I was searching websites and came across a website that when you moused over anything linked in their website, a little box custom made would appear and a sniplet of information would be presented, I'm assuming the author typed the information as an "alt" or something code.

You know when you hover over a link and the URL address displays, well instead of your common little table view, there was a nicely created graphic that came together with the information displayed inside it?

This is something similar I am wanting to do to my site, use it like a quick reference dictionary resource though. My site is educational (when its complete) and I'd like to have something like this for quick reference to its visitors.

Has anyone ever heard of this or know what I am talking about? Anywhere you could maybe suggest that I could look this up and learn how to place it into my site? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

you can give you links a title="title" attribute ,, like:

<a href="http://webmaster-talk.com" title="Webmaster forum full of great stuff and lovelyness">Webmaster-Talk.Com</a>

Or, do a google for tooltips.
The tolltips will give you a better look, and will allow you to put links or images in the little box that pops up on mouseover.

sdcdesign, thank you for the link, its exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate the help as well, st0x, but I was looking for the information in the link posted. I'm wanting images to pop up of my own design Just couldn't, for the life of me, figure out what I should be searching!
