Well, I designed my site all in photoshop and paid someone to take that design and create the HTML and CSS for it. So, in my websites folder I have a css folder an images folder and a index.html file. What I would like to do is get it up on my free webhost to start with so I can play around with it and get it running. The next ting I would like to do is install Joomla the open source CMS to post news and handle accounts, ect. I also got a domain name from GoDaddy which I would like to use for the site.

I read a little bit about how to get that working and it seems easy enough. All I do is go to the registrar and point them to my hosts dns, if thats correct. But how do I get it working on my free host first?

Go to your free host webpage, and find the way to login into your account and upload all your files.

Then point the domain to the DNS, then boom, once you type in your domain you should have your website displayed.

fyi...sometimes transferring your DNS (domain propagation - this might be useful instruction for you) can take a day or two.
