I was hired to design and build a webpage for a small consulting buisness. This is an up-and-coming buisness, with no former webpage or even E-Contact. I designed the page using a simple dreamweaver template, and filling in the information provided to me. I have tested the webpage in 3 different browsers. Internet Explorer, Firefox, and AOL. The pages load fine in both IE and Firefox, but in AOL there is a large space before the text of the page starts. The site is www.whjconsultingservices.com. An example of the problem is on the page http://www.whjconsultingservices.com...ymarketing.htm In IE and Firefox the page loads normally but with AOL there is a gap before the first dividing image. I am wondering if this is a common problem with a simple solution, or if anyone has any ideas of how to fix this. Thank You,

I tried it in Opera and I dont get that gap i am nto sure as to what could be causing that. I wish I could help more but as I dont have AOL I cant see this issue. I would run it through the W3schools html and compliance checker and see if it picks up on anything. Best of luck to you sir.

The AOL browser is an implementation of IE5 which is notoriously buggy where CSSP is concerned.

If it absolutely has to work in AOL/IE5 you may need to resort to hacks and stylesheet imports to get around this proble.

i ran it throuh the w3 web checker and it found tons of errors, but most of them were due to incorrect formatting and undisplayable characters because i pasted the text directly from word. i dont think that this would have any effect on the gaps, but it may, i will fix those errors and then see if anything changes. As for the second reply, the reason that i would want it to work with the AOL browser is because my boss uses AOL, and i would really like for the page to load correctly for him. are they easy to add to a site or would it be hard? Thank you,

Dylan

It's been a while since you posted, so perhaps things have changed, but I have a gap in IE6 also. Sorry, but my CSS skills are not good enough to solve the problem. The spacing in page you get to via the first link is also messed up.
