I am attempting to display scans of sportscards in a cell of a table. After scanning the card I run it through photoshop (save for web) where I downsize it and send it to a file in my docs. I then insert it as an image in the cell of the table with dreamweaver. All pics look good here. After putting them I view them online. Only some appear. Others are just an "X".
What am I doing wrong? Help Please!

If you're seeing an 'x' it most likely means the server isn't finding the image where you told it to look. You might have specified the path to your image incorrectly in Dreamweaver.

When you added the image path did you give it as a place on your computer or something relative to the page you were creating?

Another possibility is that you sepcified a correct path, but didn't upload the image to the proper place in the server. Either way the 'x' means that the server can't find the image to display.

Is there a link to where you have the page online?

Thanks for the help. I will try to reput all images with an X. As far as the paths are concerned as all pics were done exactly the same way I agree with you that the server can't find them. Is it possible that the upload was so large that the server could not keep up?

Thanks again.

The pics that only showed as an x in a box did have a problem with the path. I used the number symbol. That was a no/no!

Thanks for the help.

Sure. Glad you got it worked out so fast. It's so easy to accidentally get the paths wrong.
