I realised since yesterday tht the site is not fully loaded in IE although the status bar states done but is loaded fine in firefox!

Anybody encountered such incident? My site is in my signature.

Thanks

The great problem in design. Since my company change their designing methods to incorporate the latest W3C regulations, these problems are always arising. CSS design helps you position your websites content and images clearly, though each browser reads the information differently.
2 ways to fix this.
1: Place browser detection on your site and direct the correct CSS form for your site. (Not recomended)
2: Play with the CSS untill all the information looks the same in each browser. This will enoy you.

Have fun

There could be several things wrong. You might be better off posting this in the HTML section.

Here is one thing I noticed: the following line is contained in the body, styles should be defined in the head. Give it a shot, it might help

<link href="/style/new.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<style type="text/css">
<!--
.style2 {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 12px;
}
</style>

Hi Guys

Thanks for the help. However i am still curious.

1) CSS is to make things easier for everybody. Since it's an adopted practise, why IE browser not accepting it?

2) my site was running fine with IE before.. it just happened onite... why such sudden drastic change?

Thanks agn.

If you've got nothing helpfill to post, it's best not to post.

With computers, things don't 'just happen' - something would of had to of triggered it, most likely something like a site update, but could be anything. Are you sure you haven't changed anything recently that might of affected it?
All other pages seem to work, it's just the home page that seems wrong. Therefore find out what's different about the home page. Compare the markup to the other pages.
Run it through the W3C validator, you may find that you're missing an important end tag or something which is causeing the issue.

but again unfounded bashing. You already hijacked one thread, why are you doing it now with another?

This is not (primarily) a CSS issue and has also nothing to do with IE (which by the way supports CSS). The reason is simply that the code is far from clean. For example there are two closing body tags.

You did not post a solution to ngsp23's problem but only wrote obviously bashing comments about Microsoft.

It is correct that Microsoft still has got some problems with full CSS support, but these do not cause any of the mentioned problems and hence is not part of the discussion.
