I am having trouble learning Dreamweaver 8 from the Help files.

I am looking for dreamweaver 8 training videos to help me learn the program.

I looked around and found some that are entitled; Dreamweaver MX.

What is the difference between Dreamweaver MX and Dreamweaver 8?

Will Dreamweaver MX training Video CD's teach me how to use Dreamweaver 8?

Also, I am finding that most of these training video CD's are quite expensive.

Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

Thanks,

Charles

There's lots here.

Dreamweaver MX 8 User Guide, Live Docs and Documentation

I started using Dreamweaver as a complete newbie, and just played around with it alot. There is alot of info out there, and also, many people on this forum will be able to help you as you go.
I would suggest getting stuck in and messing around with it. It's the easiest way to learn.
All the best.

Dreameweaver 8 is the version after Dreamweaver MX, I haven't used it yet so I don't know what the new features are.

i learnt to use dreamweaver mx with the help of some magazines (practical web projects and web designer) which had great tutorials to try and in turn learn to use dreamweaver. I would also get some good books that are a great for dipping in to find the information you need, i have Using macromedia studio mx 2004 (hurwicz) and macromedia studio mx 2004 bible Evans) which ever you try i would always use a forum because you can not replace the wealth of combined knowlede here.

Its not free, but Lynda.com Dreamweaver 8 video tutorials are great. I'm a complete newbie to html and dreamweaver, but I feel 10x more confident using the program and I'm only about halfway through the videos. They are produced very well and are done in a logical order. I've also signed up for the html, css, and photoshop for internet tutorials.
