Im looking for a free editor that supports php as well as the usual HTML etc.

try DreamWeaver... that is the only one I know of that will help you out with php, although I have to warn you, PHP is very Case conditional, so it cannot code php scripts for you... It can help, but you need to know some php.

IF you are talking about incorporating a WYSIWYG editor on your site...like a text box...then I would suggest you to use
