Ok, it's a short drive, but I sure hope someone can help before I
completely lose my mind...
I'm trying to do text edits in Dreamweaver, but every time I type a
change in, the page jumps. Then I have to scroll and find my place
again in order to do the next edit. Since I'm editing catalog prices
this is taking much, MUCH longer than it should.
I've been dealing with this DW "Feature" for a long time, but would be
grateful beyond words if someone can tell me how to make it stop!!!
Maybe I'm a control freak - the Mac OS10 does much the same thing when
you click on a folder in a window - it jumps to the right to where the
folder icon doesn't show anymore, just the file name. It doesn't do it
all the time, but when it does it makes me insane, and I don't know
what triggers it but I want it to stop! I don't want my software to
move things around - that's my job!!
I want to see a good portion of the page so I can track which item
I'm on and just move down the page making my edits, so I center the
current item in the window
• I change the price on an item - by selecting the old price with my
cursor then using the keyboard to type in the new number - and it
immediately shifts so that the change is the bottom thing visible on
the screen
• rather than just move my cursor to the next table cell for editing, I
have to scroll down so that more table rows are exposed
• I edit the next price and *%#@(!!! ...back to the bottom of the
screen, scroll, find my place, make another edit, back to the bottom,
Very grateful for any help at all, no matter how small.
Thanks
