I'm designing a site for a friend and I'm kind of a webdev newbie. I'm trying to create a slideshow website this is what I have so far, I'm cycling about 22 images in an animated gif that I created in imageready. The file is about 1.4 megs, obviously this is an atrociously long time for a front page to load. Also the quality of the image decreased significantly in the imageready exported version. I see this website www.markromanek.com has a slideshow for the director's images, it does not appeaar to be an animated gif. The images cycle at fairly high quality every 3 seconds or so and if you click on any one of them and open in a new window they say slide 1 slide 2 slide 3, how would I go about doing this with the images I've already put on the site I'm working on? How is the mark romanek slideshow thing achieved? I'm using dreamweaver 7 and I don't know how this is done. If someone can detail the process I would be most grateful. I have no idea how to do this. |
