You need to install a SSL certificate on your web site so you can run pages as https://www.myfomain.com.
Contact your web host so they know you want one installed as you will need a unique IP address if you haven't already got one. Your host will also generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) for you, you will need this when buying your SSL cert.
Do a search for certificate providers and pick one that meets your needs. When you sign up you will have to paste in the CSR. After checking out you will receive the Certificate details which you then give to your host to install on your account.
That's in in a nutshell. Some hosting control panels let you do parts of this yourself but always check with your host first. |
