Hello ,

I'm thinking to learn Designing from a friend of mine , he is professional and is willing to teach me designing in Photoshop and Flash for a very reosonable price. Do you think I should go with it? It might take me 3 or 2 months to learn it.

I need few advices ? Is designing good to learn now?

Very optimistic!

It takes longer, I think. It is good that You have somebody to help You, but You must learn and You must try every step from the beginning. Don't be afraid and be persistent. Start from the very beggining. See how other designers solve something and try by yourself.

For both PS and Flash there are many good tutorials and books on the net.
google it and find.

It's never too late to start but even the pro's are still learning something new every day. Don't try to do PS and Flash at the same time else it will pickle your brain, learn at least the basics of one before you move to the other.

Spend every spare minute creating and playing to see what you can do, there are tons of articles and tutorials on the web that you can use as well so it's woth looking through these.

Set yourself some personal goals like creating a banner or a logo, if you get stuck look on the net for help or ask your friend. Gradually you will start to pick things up.

I notice you posted this in the "web design" forum, I take it you are looking to learn web design as well?

i think it's great that you're learning design. you should go through with it... it's a cool skill, designing. you can put it to a lot of good uses

If you're going to be designing web sites, learn XHTML and CSS and learn it well enough that you can build a page in Notepad.
