Can anyone explain how to add keywords in Macromedia 8 - I have looked at the help file and it just says add the keywords to the keyword listing except I can't find where it is. Can anyone help me?

I assume you're talking about Dreamweaver ?
If that is the case then you need to add the <meta> tag for keywords in your <head> section:
<meta name="keywords" content="xxxx,xxxx, xxxx, xxxx" >

FYI, keywords are hardly as important as they once were for search engines. Content and incoming links are far more important these days.

Here's the little help:

<META name="keywords" content="a, list, of, keywords">
  • Choose whatever keywords you think are appropriate, seperated by commas. Remember to include synoyms and so on. So, if you had a page on cars, you might want to include keywords such as car, cars, vehicles, automobiles and so on.
But content and links pointing to Your site is much important for robots,spiders and crawlers. But, when we talk about keywords, watch keyword density.

For more examples and articles, just google something like "...meta tags.."

bye..

Your basic html page structure should look like this:

<html>
<head>
<title>page title</title>
</head>

<body>
-- all your page content goes in here
</body>
</html>

The <meta> tags go in between the <head></head> tags.
If you're in Dreamweaver's design view only, you will not see the code. You're going to have to go to Code View.
