I have a font on my computer that I use for my website. (Phyllis) It looks really good on my computer but on most other computers that I use the font is not downloaded on to the computer so it uses a different font instead. Is there a way I can upload the font to my site or something so that people will see the font I want them to?

firstly, i am not very sure it will work.

secondly, what you can do is this - someone correct me if i am wrong

yourclassname
{ font-face : yourfont face;
src: http://yoursite/font.ttf;
}
this works in some cases. i tried doing this. i worked couple of times.

else you can use microsoft weft to embed your font into the webpage. but this will work only in ie and not in netscape.

Hi berska,

Welcome to Webmaster-Talk.

If the font is used for a logo or navigation, you could always save it as a .gif. But, if you're using it as text for content or whatever, that's not a good idea.

Praveen probably has a good idea.

Dave and Praveen are both right. If you do embed it and it will only be seen by IE users then not to worry.

My stats show 96-98% of my visitors to my sites use IE.

Let us know what you decide.
