hey, i like the look of it, but I can't really make out what the image is on the left. ".com"?

I would add some more text or images to the body.

looks decent though!

I'm sorry, but if I were looking around the web for domain registration services and hosting, I probably wouldn't do it at your site. The key word here? Professionalism. You have to sell your site, not try to mash things together.

For example, the "GET YOUR DOMAIN TODAY" part up top does not sync well with the rest of the header. Webmail login is somewhat hidden like something shoved under a carpet. I'd go for a clearer logo too, and scrap the .com image because it's more of a distraction rather than an appealing point.

I'd take off the Google search (or at least relegate it to somewhere less conspicuous)-- your clients are here to buy domains and hosting, right? Not to search your website. At least I hope not.

Remember you're stepping into the same field as GoDaddy, Globat, 1and1 and all the other "reliable" sites. If you want to make your site succeed because it offers a cheaper solution, then you have to make it so that people would want to trust you. And when they don't have other people's comments or hearsay to back them up, you only have a professional design to prove your point.

Good luck.

I tend to agree with xanadu's comments (except the Google search one because I don't see that.)

The design alone won't help you either. It certainly won't hurt you, but you need design + unique selling proposition to get it. Cheap domain names won't cut it either...GoDaddy and NameCheap pretty well cornered the market on that.

You're going to need to push more and better services, have a slicker, easier-to-use website, and other features that none of them offer. And when you put those features up, be prepared to add more features as your competitors steal them.

Quite frankly, this is a business I wouldn't touch with a hundred-foot pole. Too much competition, the market for it is very much a buyer's market as it's full of techgeeks who quite often don't understand how commerce works, and too much work for too little reward.
