I've been out of the loop.

When did Adobe and Macromedia team up and why?

This is very suprising to me.

Adobe bought Macromedia. I dont remember exactly when, but it's been awhile. I'm thinking somewhere between 6 monhts and a year ago, but don't hold me at all to that time frame.

its been a year since they merged..
why - one of the reasons was it was getting too hot to compete against one another for similar products and spending too much on developing 2 diff products doing the same thing.. so why not join together...
so far its been good. lets c what happens later

Well I hope they keep the "usability" of Macromedia, which I prefer over Adobe products.
