Hello everyone,

Only ever posted a couple of times on forums here, but I am hoping to be more active from now on, although I view on a regular basis, the help is brilliant.

Any way, how many of you have downloaded the BETA version of Expression Web Designer? What are your thoughts?

I have downloaded it and had a 'quick' look, because I have other projects on the go at the moment I haven't had time to go indepth on it.

My first impressions are this looks good, very accomplished, wants to do things the right way, CSS etc. Which kind of leads me on to a second point/question?

How important is it to learn ASP.NET for web development? What are the pro's and con's?

I know the easy answer is probably depends on what you are trying to achieve, but right now my skill set is XHTML, Javascript, CSS, Dreamweaver, Frontpage (I was young, first thing I learnt, we all have a skeleton in the closet ) and very recently I have been learning PHP together with Mysql and getting on very well with it.

I also started learning ASP a couple of years ago but due to having XP home and no IIS on it I gave up and decided to go the PHP route. Would also learning ASP.NET have any advantages?

I am finding PHP very flexible, in fact it's opened up a whole new exciting world for me in web development. Sorry for rambling on, i'll shut up now and let you all speak.
