i have been looking for a good way of displaying my images. i do my own web work (dont know much, but enough to stumble through it). i got a javascript that will change the image on the same page by clicking a link. the problem i run into is that the images tries to rescale to fit the 470 px x 470 px box and distorts. so i have to add a bunch of wasted backgound pixels to the image to keep it from doing that (more download time and more work). you can see what i mean if you go to the photo section then artwork section then belize photos (sorry i used frames to build my site so i cant link you straight to it). i would like a way to make the images fit int to the box without resizing. and it would be nice if i could also have text pop in with the changed picture, kinda like www.smugmug.com .

thanks for any help!

by the way the script i am using is from www.i-code.co.uk
